These Terms govern your use of Parly ("Parly", "we", "us") at parly.org, operated by Teodor Costache, a sole proprietor based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. By creating an account or using Parly, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Parly.
You must be at least 18 years old. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. Parly is available to people in the United States.
Parly is a peer-to-peer network for people at the same stage who want to work on a project together. You say what you do, or you post a project. We tell the people who fit. Parly is not a party to, and is not responsible for, any collaboration, communication, agreement, or transaction between members. There is no in-app chat. We do not handle contracts or payments.
Parly is in beta. Features may change, pause, or go away at any time.
You sign in through Google. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may verify a school affiliation. You agree only to verify an affiliation that is actually yours.
You agree not to:
Posts should describe a real project and who it needs, not the work itself (no lyrics, scores, or reels in the body). Put how to reach you in Next Steps. See the posting guidelines. We may take a post down or suspend an account that breaks these Terms.
Only verified members may post. Posting uses in-app credits: one credit per role you seek. Credits have no cash value, cannot be bought during the beta, and are not refundable or transferable. New members receive a starting balance. When it is gone, posting stops until we change how credits work. We may change that at any time.
You keep the words in your posts, any files you link, and the work you make with someone you meet here. The role list is ours. You grant Parly a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and use what you submit in order to run matching, moderate posts, and operate Parly, including showing a project in marketing in a form that does not reveal your identity or contact information. We may use the roles and specializations you choose to produce aggregated, de-identified counts, as described in the Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights to what you post and that it does not violate these Terms or the law.
Parly does not vet members, the accuracy of profiles, or the projects people post. Whether you collaborate, talk, or transact is yours alone. Use your own judgment. Parly is not responsible for anyone's conduct or for how a project turns out.
We compare roles and specializations on our servers, then apply location, remote, and any school filter. A match can be incomplete or a poor fit. It is not advice. We do not send your profile to a third-party language-model provider.
Parly is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parly and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, projects, or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of Parly. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Parly will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parly and its operator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of Parly, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
You may stop using Parly and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue Parly.
By creating an account, you agree to receive essential service email (such as verification codes and match notices), which are required to use Parly. We may also send occasional product email, which you can turn off.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or Parly will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will revise the effective date above, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
